In this part of the world, there doesn’t seem to be much to do right now except wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
Its been a big year for me, with lots of changes, and with one of the most fundamental yet to come, as I move the family to the other side of our little country, lock stock and barrel as they say.
This will be the final act of a year that has seen me move from the radio industry and back into press. A small thing when said like that, but one of monumental impact on me and my family. Its been one of the best years Ive ever had professionally, in a lot of ways, but when I finally complete the house move I certainly won’t miss the travelling I’ve done every day.
I’ve so many plans personally and professionally for 2014, and I can’t wait to get started! Theres so much excitement on the horizon. The news paper is developing brilliantly, and the website it is out of this world. I can’t wait to see where that little lot will take me next year! We’ve got a brand new house to furnish, new schools to attend and new areas to learn about.
From a social media perspective there’s also the little matter of a brand new Oi Conference to look forward to, and you never know, I may even get to hook up with my good friend Mark Schaefer as he returns to Wales in the Summer.
But first there is the little matter of a family Christmas to enjoy. My mission is to make sure I wring every little bit of joy out of it, and also make sure its one my young kids will remember into their dotage. Speaking of dotage, I’ll also be blessed by the grandparents who are also staying over, making for a truly special time of the year for everyone.
So Merry Christmas to you and yours, and may your holiday be everything you need it to be.
See you in the new year!
